Last night, or should I say YESTERDAY was maybe the best concert i've been to and i've been to A LOT OF concerts (projekt revolution featuring linkin park, 98kupd big red xmas show featuring korn, static-x tour featuring american head charge, jagermeister tour featuring slipknot, nofx tour featuring the donnas, korn tour featuring mudvayne, msi featuring weirdassbands, system of a down featuring mars volta... AND SOME MORE) lol but i think this has definately been the greatest one.
Waking up... 10AM; "oh dang, I gotta get ready to get my permit." So I got ready and went to the MVD or DMV to find out the computers weren't working =[. Apres, I headed to pick up Cindy and her sister Nancy for the BIG SHOW. Cindy was freakin out it was cool!! We went to walgreens to get a camera b/c I forgot mine at home. It was quite the long drive, and throughout it we were brainstorming on how to sneak in the camera since I didn't wear my tight boxers
Inside... 2:15PM; we walked around and saw a LoT of booths with randomass carnival type activities with crude prizes and merch booths too. That's where Cindy and Nancy got their Dir En Grey shirts, and I wanted a FVT shirt, but I decided it was too big. We headed to the FYE tent to find out how to meet DIRU and you had to buy something to get a wristband.
At Lawn... 3PM we were all very hot, because WELL ITS AZ and like 105 degrees and sitting on grass lol. We watched "Bullets and Octane" which I thought were pretty decent band, and then hopped the lawn fence to meet Katelyn, Sam, and Parsa down in the 200 level in real good seats which I had the opportunity to take parsa's seat, but I chose to let Cindy and Nancy experience the best night of their life and pay 30 bucks for 3 tickets. P.S. The 200 level had FANS TOO so we weren't half as hot as we were at Lawn!
200Level Seats... 3:30PM Deadsy was already playing while we came and they just started the great song "Key to Gramercy Park" and I was excited and sang all the words. After that they played "Tom Sawyer" a classic RUSH cover which random people that didn't know of Deadsy seem to really love. Soon after, the band Bury Your Dead came on which was a hardcore band I wasn't all into, but I liked how the fat guy skipped around and the guitarists totally did that thing with their guitars u kno where you throw it across your body type lol. Then Nancy's buddies, Ruben and Chase, whom had also hopped their way down to the 200 level came as the band 10 years was starting. They did a nice show playing good tunes such as "Through the Iris", "Cast it out", and of course what started their career "Wasteland". Apparently Chase couldnt hold his bladder needs throughout their show so he left for the bathroom.
Dir en Grey... 5PM Well, Nancy, Cindy, and myself were all very nervous because we kept seeing people get kicked out of their seats and people claiming their seats around us, but finally nothing mattered anymore when DIRU came on. Cindy would waste more than half of the film in my camera and "woo" in the real high pitch excitement she had not quite experienced before. Even nancy, would let out several woos herself which is surprising because she is quite the laidback character with the sarcastic type humor. It really brought a smile to my face seeing them enjoy the show -until it was taken away by the new disgusted face I made when lead singer Kyo would punch his mouth, slam his mic onto his chest until blood was CLEARLy visible, and cut his wrist. Quite the shock that he had been doing this everyday of the tour! Entertaining to watch!
"Meeting" Diru... ~6PM We left after DIRU's set to meet the guys and Cindy and Nancy would wait while I left them for a while to get them water and go to the bathroom. I bought a hotdog, fries, and small drink meal and only one water bottle which all came down to the price of $9.75. I headed back and encouraged them to eat some of my food and boy, sprite NEVER tasted so good in my life!! They were mildly disappointed from their long wait to simply shake their hands, but there's no time for that bc THE SHOW IS going on!
Back to Lawn... ~7PM We headed back to lawn and Flyleaf had already finished their set and we were just in time for Stonesour. They kicked off with their great hit from their new album 30/30-150 which I enjoyed live and sang every word to! Somehow after that, Ruben and Chase appeared behind us! Cindy headed to the bathroom and came just in time to watch the accoustic old hit "Bother" I sang every word to that and even she caught up in that as well!! After that was "Through Glass". They encouraged crowds to go crazy on "Hell and Consequences" and surely a moshpit broke out in the lawn right as Cindy said she couldn't see the stage so I put her on my shoulders for about 2 seconds. She didn't get off because apparently I didn't take her down for long enuff lol so it was REALLY scary. Cindy got elbowed in the upperchest bone idk wut its called but she was wearin a neckless and I was scared for her so i led her out of the pit since she looked a little sufficated. She admitted to love the experience and danger of THE MOSHPIT, though. WHO DOESNT
Deftones... ~7:50PM The large screens that would display them were turned on for the Deftones. I never really had interest in this band and this performance didn't really surprise me at all. In fact, the only song I really like from them wasn't as good as I wished live -"Change (in the house of flies)". There was many pits for these guys so we jumped to the 300 level and chilled there. So Nancy got a text from Ruben that they were leaving the show and we were like kinda "wtf" b/c they had offered us a ride home earlier. I made sure Sam would perhaps give us a ride even though her car carried 5 people and there would have been 6 of us. To me, Deftones = boring & cliche.
Korn... ~9:45PM Before Korn took the stage my mouth was very dry and both Cindy and Nancy wanted water as well so we got some and a dude complimented me on my sweet shorts haha. Cool
Encore... ~10:40PM was korn done? hell no!
Dehydration... ~11:11PM we were at the east entrance and saw they still had plenty of merch so I decided why not buy that FVT brown shirt if Cindy can modify it to be smaller! There went my last 30 bucks. We soonafter found out that we would be picked up by Ruben and Chase at the WEST entrance so we had to walk AROUND the venue. we waited there and i layed down. Another call informed us we'd be picked up at the gas station. I was very dehydrated and my mouth was so dry I had never experienced somethin like it. Kinda cool! haha We got to the gas station and bought water and I was better when I could drink it and lay in ruben's truck on Cindy's lap. They took me home and I was already feelin better especially after GATOORADE... Greatest night of my life maybe MAYBE!!

Oh yeah, if you see me or find me I have wallets from my senior photos that you or cindy or both might want
